Self reflection and recovery - Wine Down Friday #10
Being sick sucks but it helps you reflect on things
Made it to newsletter number 10, OMG! Thanks to everyone for subbing in, I really do appreciate the support! My goal is to have something lighthearted for people to digest on a Friday afternoon, and I plan to continue pushing the good vibes, even if I’m not feeling 100% because consistency matters!
Lesson learned this week: find the silver lining even if you’re in the middle of the suck.
Trying to channel my inner Barney
This week has definitely been rough for me as I’ve had both COVID like symptoms AND crippling nausea. Coupled with other stressors like helping my mom move and trying to figure out what’s going on with my hormones has makes it hard to act on the lesson I learned when life has just been lifing.
Being in the slump is one thing, but staying in the slump is another.
This isn’t me trying to sound preachy or clickbaity because life just doesn’t work that way. You HAVE to take the time you need to recover if you’re not feeling well, whether it’s physical, mental, emotional, etc.
When the suckiness passes though and it’s time to get back on the saddle, what will help motivate you is taking time to reflect on what does not suck.
It may be hard to do when so much does suck, but it really does help the recovery process.
For me, it’s knowing that my tummy is flatter than it’s been in literal years and getting natural wave in my hair. It’s also getting reassurances from my husband and a couple of friends that they have my back and love no matter what 💕
So take time to appreciate the good when things are bad, it’ll make the journey easier!
Sad reality of job search
Whether the job market is good or bad, this will always ring true, let’s drink to this! Hang in there everyone!
