In all seriousness though times are crazy all around. But that doesn’t mean the pride you have to stay true to yourself should ever diminish. Don’t let the crazy wear you down and know that for every loud hateful voice, there is even MORE quiet support. So find your tribe and get raised up!

Lesson learned this week: prioritizing yourself (and understanding sarcasm)

I agreed to a very short-term project where they wanted a bajillion tasks done. They essentially wanted a whole team to do a whole bunch of setup before launching an ad campaign.

Before the campaign could be launched, I got some pretty big news about my mom (nothing bad, all good stuff!) I only have one mom after all and she’s going to need help so I told them my time will be limited as I need to prioritize helping my mom.

Well…they didn’t like that one bit so they prematurely ended things. And honestly…it’s for the best for everyone especially me. I may have screwed myself out of money, but the money was NOT WORTH IT with all the work they wanted.

I vented about this online, and I got a wonderfully witty and sardonic reply about how ridiculous the whole situation was…which was immensely needed and refreshing 🙂 

Lesson learned: prioritize yourself because others, especially work, will not.
